National Institute of Homoeopathy Kolkatta BHMS admission 2017-18

Applications are invited for admission BHMS Degree Course in Homoeopathy at National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata for the academic year 2017 -18.

Eligibility: Qualified in NEET session 2017 - 18 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education on 07-05-2017 (Sunday)

Age: As prescribed in NEET prospectus

Number of seats: 93

Seat Distribution:
  • 14 seats are earmarked for the following States/Union Territories : Jammu and Kashmir (1), Manipur (1), Meghalaya (2), Mizoram (2), Nagaland (2), Sikkim (1), Tripura (2), Andaman and Nicobar Island (1), Dadra and Nagar Haveli (1) and Daman and Diu (1). The number of seats earmarked for States/Union Territories may vary as per the Govt. of India orders prevalent at the time of admission.
  • 06 seats for Foreign Nationals out of which Five (05) seats are earmarked for candidates from Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical & Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) countries to be nominated by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, Azad Bhavan, Indraprastha Estate, New Delhi and One (01) seat is reserved for Foreign National candidates under self-financing scheme nominated by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.
  • 10 seats for candidates sponsored by Govt. of Sri Lanka through the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt.of India. If the requisite number of candidates are not sponsored by Govt. of Sri Lanka, those seats shall remain vacant; no other candidate will be admitted against these seats.
  • The remaining 63 seats will be filled up through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) session 2017 - 18 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education on 07-05-2017 (Sunday).Distribution of seats to various categories may be modified by the competent authority.
  • Reservation as per the Govt. of India norms shall be applicable.
Physical Fitness: Orthopedically Challenged persons with 50 to 70% locomotor disability involving the lower limbs only, can apply for the course(blind, deaf or dumb persons are not eligible)

Application: Filled in the application form (in candidate’s own handwriting) is to be sent along with Demand draft of Rs.1000/-(Rupees One Thousand only) in favour of “Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy”, payable at Kolkata (IPO/Cheque/Cash/Money order will not be accepted). Demand draft is drawn on any Nationalized Bank.

Application fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, Demand Draft is not required but a photocopy of self-attested caste certificate in prescribed proforma must accompany the application form.
Candidates claiming reservation under OBC category and Orthopedically Challenged category are required to enclose the self - attested photocopy of OBC certificate and Orthopedically Challenged certificate issued by competent authority in prescribed proforma as that of NEET 2017 - 18.

Candidates are required to enclose two recent, high contrast 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm identical copies of the colour photograph, clearly showing full head, face, shoulders and both ears without wearing any cap/hat/glasses, with the application form. Both the photographs should be signed on the reverse by the candidate. Polaroid photo is not acceptable. The photograph must have been taken on or after 1st May 2017 with a placard indicating the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photograph. The name and date of the photograph must be clear and legible.

The duly filled in application form should reach the Office of The Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy, Block-GE, Sector - III, Salt Lake, Kolkata - 700106

The application form should be submitted in a sealed envelope super scribing “Application form for Admission to BHMS Degree Course, Session 2017 – 18.

Two self-addressed (six digit pin code compulsory) envelope of size 30cm × 20cm and 25cm × 12cm is to be sent along with the application form.

  • Admit card of NEET 2017 - 18
  • Downloaded copy of NEET 2017 - 18 result sheet from the website www.cbscresults.nic.in
  • AADHAR Card
  • Demand Draft
  • Caste Certificate in prescribed proforma as prescribed by NEET 2017 - 18.
  • Certificate of locomotor disability as prescribed by NEET 2017 - 18.
The List of provisionally eligible candidates (as per their NEET 2017 - 18 All India Rank) for admission to the BHMS course, Session 2017 - 18, will be available on the Institute website.

At present hostel facilities are not available.

NB: Admission to BHMS Course Session 2017 - 18 shall be made only after receiving necessary permission from Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India
