Karnataka Homoeopathic Board moves to new building, fully funded by a Homeopath, Dr. B T Rudresh
The Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar inaugurated the new building “Karnataka Homeopathy Bhavan” in Basaveshwarnagar for the Karnataka Board for Homeopathic System of Medicine yesterday (20.11.2020).
The Karnataka Homoeopathic Board is an autonomous body under the Department of Health and Family Welfare and was set up in 1973 to bring uniformity among homeopathic professionals and it represents more than 15,000 registered homeopathic doctors.
Earlier, it was functioning in rented premises on the campus of the Directorate of AYUSH. Now it moves to a new building, spread over a quarter acre. The new building has a library, a free homeopathic dispensary, a counseling center, and a public utility auditorium, besides the office space. It is fully funded by its president Dr. B T Rudresh by donating his entire salary and other savings for the construction of the building.
