AIAPGET aspirants file plea in Supreme Court seeking postponement of Ayush PG entrance exam 2020

A petition has been filled by 17 Ayush doctors in the Supreme Court seeking postponement of the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2020, which is scheduled to be conducted on 29th August 2020.

The plea states that due to the fact of already being infected by COVID-19 or due to being in quarantine presently, many doctors will be deprived of appearing in the exam on the given date, which will be in flagrant violation of their fundamental right to equality, as enshrined within Article 14 of Constitution of India.

The petition has been filed and drawn by Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava. It cites the increasing number of coronavirus cases as a reason to seek the cancellation of the entrance test.
